Hitting the gold gear is not as simple as it seems. Not only does your laser take time to recharge, there are bombs and boxes rotating on gears getting in your way, although these gears can be slowed down. Boxes can be destroyed for extra points.... but bombs will explode and end your game. The "SLOW" button can be used to slow down the movement of the player, or used alongside flipping the switches to slow one or more of the gears down. But keep in mind that both can overheat and end your game!
